Q: How do I add photos to Familiar?
A: Adding photos is quick and easy. Inside the Familiar app click the "+ Photos" button in the top right corner of the application. Follow the instructions to add photos from your computer. Note that you can drag and drop photos directly into the application. On the web you can also add photos from your favorite online services. Click here to add photos from Facebook, Picasa Web Albums, SmugMug or Flickr. And when you're on the go you can email photos to pics@familiar.com from your mobile phone.
Q: How can I keep track of what's new at Familiar?

Q: Can people outside of my family see the photos I share with Familiar?
A: Nope. Familiar photos only show up on the screens of the people in your Current Connections list.
Q: Can I change the order of my photos?
A: Not at this time. If this is a feature you would like us to build, and we'll get to it as soon as we possibly can.
Q: Do you have Familiar for iOS or Android?
A: Not yet. But they are in the works. if you have a preference for what you would like to see.
Q: Why don't all of my friends' Facebook photos show up in Familiar?
A: Many people have large photos libraries on Facebook that can be overwhelming. We try to be smart by only showing you what we think are the best photos from your Facebook connections. If you would like to see particular photos from a Facebook connection, send them an invite and have them add their photos directly to Familiar.
Q: When I open Familiar I see a login screen but I don't have a password. What should I do?
A: Go to the forgot password page. Enter your email address and we will send you a new password.
Q: Can I install Familiar on a second computer?
A: You sure can! Just download a new client on the computer that you're on, sign in and your photos will start downloading shortly.
Q: Can I control whose photos show up in my screensaver?
A: Yes you can. On a Mac, go to Preferences in the Familiar menu. On Windows go to Options in the Tools menu. There you can adjust the frequency that photos will show up from each of your connections.
Q: My friend said they sent me an invite to Familiar but I didn't receive it. What should I do?
A: Check the spam/junk mail folder in your email client. Sometimes emails end up in there by mistake.
Q: Can Familiar set my desktop background?
A: Yes! On a Mac, go to Preferences in the Familiar menu. On Windows go to Options in the Tools menu. There you can tell Familiar to use the "Photos I Love" as your desktop background.
Q: How do I save a photo in Familiar?
A: We currently do not have save functionality in Familiar. If save is a feature you would like us to build, and we'll get to it as soon as we possibly can.
Q: Can I invite people that aren't in my family?
A: You sure can. We think that Familiar works great for families, but there's no reason you can't use it to share with other tightly knit groups.
Q: Can I remove my Facebook content from Familiar?
A: Yes, please contact us and we'll remove your Facebook content.
